So this submission has a mini disclosure of sorts. Avoid if you just want to see a pretty picture and don't wanna feel sad reading it. I won't judge you.
First the technical stuff. The derpy image is the first, done about a little more than half a year ago. The second and third images, as it starts looking better, are me going back and putting more time into it since I've gotten better.
---
I've recently learned how to get a good grasp on my color management now, so I've been going back to a lot of old pieces and painting them over quickly to see how much I have learned. This has given me a great confidence boost as things are starting to "sculpt" how I want them to, and the pieces are looking more and more like how I visioned them to be.
As you can see the first image here is very derpy, that's what depression and blown self esteem in your art looks like. You just start to really not care anymore, even though knowing how to draw but the colors are never right so screw it. Getting better at art takes a lot of time, practice, and skill, but it is also takes a lot of mental.
I think I'm finally over it, and yet I'm still on the tip, to the point where my process isn't agonizing for me anymore and it's actually stress and anxiety free. I'm almost there. I can't wait to go to the next level and create some breathtaking art.
