Just Amy, bein' Amy again.It's unsure exactly how detrimental this would be on something other then a plush doll but let's just say, it's lucky that that wasn't the real Sonic right there. This does explain why all her Sonic merch has holes in it... well... maybe not entirely.

Well my thought process is that Sonic very well is a celebrity in his own world. I mean you don't save the world from certain destruction and not gain a few followers, so yes, there is merchandise of Sonic which he has endorsed (and allowed to go fully to his head) The way we're used to Sonic looking is just cartoonish cariactures of him to sell toys and games whereas Sonic in real life looks a big different from that. But again, this is just my head canon which I play up for pure fun.
