Yup, this was in the works for a little while now, finally mastered it. Interestingly this is my first piece for a while that I actually PREFERRED at the pencils stage, but I think the finished piece has scrubbed up well enough. Anyway, this is of course the surprisingly foxy ten foot tall blue alien Na'vi heroine of James Cameron's excellent new movie Avatar (those who DON'T know what this is have been living under a rock for the past two years ...), Neytiri. I think it must say something quite worrying about me that one of my top five babes of the movie year is as blue alien who could pick me up with two fingers ...

Anyway, it's a class movie and if you haven't already seen it you definitely should. She's a fantastic character and the animation is UNCANNY, you completely believe she really exists, rather than just being a clever CGI ... well, AVATAR, really ... But then, of course, the visual effects ARE from Weta, who made Gollum come to life ...

So this is just me bein' all geeky and celebrating a fantastic character from a fantastic movie. Hope you all approve ... and no, I didn't put up a mature content warning cuz I figured it's no more graphic than the movie version was considering she was essentially topless half the time. It's about as offensive as those National Geographic shots of the naked tribal girls ...
