Peril and Clay! I like how their relationship developed after Book 8 when Peril started being less clingy. Their end in Book 10 was pretty cute.

Yeah, I actually really appreciate how the books address the abusive, manipulative behavior that led to Peril being the way she was, and like you said, her learning to be more "good" but she didn't just have some cliche epiphany and completely change her behavior in an instant.
