A sad but true story... a long time ago, my grandmother read the story of the Gingerbread Man to me! It was a fun story about a cookie who came to life, and managed to avoid everone eating him... until he met a crafty fox who tricked him and ate him... I cried really hard for that little guy... then on top of that, grandma tried to get me to eat one, and I did not want to do it. She and mom thought it was funny, but I was mortified.... and no, I never ate that cookie.
