A clever strategem, but somehow I don't think your pediatrician will let you out of his office without giving you a shot of some sort (they're rather sadistic that way...). Plus, if you're too recalcitrant he may just stick you into a DecapiCone and administer the needed shot that way!

Still, I do hope you pay attention to the tooth-care instruction chart, I know you never had to go through teething, but trust me, ouchies in your mouth is no funs at all!

Yep, those doctors, it's almost as if they enjoy giving nasty shots to poor little squirrels! And it's true, Mommy and Daddy say it's really bad if you let your teeth grow too long, so I have to take really good care of them! Luckily, the best way to do that is to keep nibbling everything, which I'd do anyway... ^.^

I used to be really afraid of needles, until my Mom told me the secret: If you just relax and don't move when the needle goes in, it won't hit as many nerves and so it'll hurt a lot less. Feels more like a little poke in the shoulder or arm with someone's finger than the big scary pointy thing that it is.

*shudders* Are you sure? Because it still looks like a big scary pointy thing... Maybe if I just close my eyes and ignore it, it'll go away... ^.^

That's actually a good trick to relaxing: Close your eyes and imagine the doctor's just pressing on your shoulder/arm/wherever with a fingertip. Before you know it, it'll be gone and you'll be done!

This sort of thing was sooo me when it came to shots back in the day.
