You went above the mood of the original game. The distortions on its head really capture that creep factor that you normally have to imagine and experience in the original, yet...
...I feel that, if I actually spend time wi the monster, the creep factor gives away to coolness, instead.
Your use of zigzags, mainly on the lighting on the dinosaur's feet and the shadow on the roof, fi that frantic, panicky mood, though the shadows on the floor appear to 'leak', giving a horror mood of its own. The diagonal hatching also looks pleasant. Then there is how the walls and roof are drawn with perfect lines, befitting the blatant technological feel of the original, what with its obvious pixels. Finally, your use of monochrome is a great choice in all; the monochrome of the original was a hardware striction but helped wi the mood of the original game.
In all, this picture is an excellent mixture of what actually happens and what players feel. You did a fabulous job.
