"Bishie is a created being... designed by a greedy Enchantress to be a toy that wouldn't "break" on her. One that slowly transforms to conform to his partner's whims (If they like more feminine males, he gets softer. If they like more human characters, he becomes partically a usagi-kun.) He also reforms, no matter how badly he is abused or misused, even if snuffed completely. On the flipside, he can't make permanent changes to the world. Can't kill, or have children... it makes him wistful, wondering if he is even real. He wonders if maybe someone loves him, hard enough, completely enough, if maybe, he'll become "real" then. Think of it like the Velveteen Rabbit... only with a naughty toy instead of a child's one."
"The Patchwork girl is a doll of sorts, who wishes to find out what it means to be alive. She was alive once, she is sure of it, because only things that were alive have memories and she has so many different ones. None of them sync up but that has never bothered her. She never realized that she was all that different because of the master she served. The parts she is made of, all being the "best" and "most perfect" of those he found on others. Its been so long since she's been one person that she's forgotten which of these pieces come from her original body."
Together... two toys... two creations realize that they have to be real, because there are others out there like them... and they can touch... they can feel... in their hearts they know they can love and be loved.
