In existence for nearly 10 years, Verinn has finally received a redesign. New look, new abilties, new goals. I tried to put as much information as I could in the reference picture, but please ask if you need more details or clarification.
I jumped gun and just really wanted to upload this even before I finished the corresponding 3 part upgrade story. I won't spoil anything this picture doesn't, but down the road, in a month or so, I will be releasing my Liquid Machine "species" as a semi closed species. There were many, many incremental and half functional prototypes that were tossed away and Verinn has not only located a massive storehouse of "spare goo parts" but now has the ability to transfer digitized minds into liquid machine bodies. Lesser prototypes are open and free, but prototypes more advanced than erinn 1.0 will have a price. Still in development, I don't know 100% the rules and prices or differences amongst the 17 different variations, but I'll get there.
For now, of course, meet Verinn 2.0. Leader of the Cult of Verinn. Please him and he will please you, but prove your loyalty and you might receive the greatest gift of a new liquid body and minion status. More to come... much more to come.

He actually can only dissolve organic matter, specifically cells. He can use his new strong flexible mass to crush most other things ha ha.
The goo falls inert if his jellyfish is taken out of the goo. But with so many wires gripping, it would be hard to do by normal means. The he himself as a wiry jellyfish would have limited movement, could only really crawl around or swim if in the water.
I don't think he would be a ball. He has sentience and he controls the liquid like a muscle. So I suspect zero gravity would have little effect

It seems kinda strange to see him letting his victims come back to life after so long, but given even the context we have so far it sounds like it is an interesting change for the character.
Also I have no doubt that it will result in an overall more sinister characterization for him, as it sounds like those that are getting the chance to continue existing are going to be more similar to how he was before. So now instead of just one it sounds like he's making an army.

Most of his early victims were sifted through and torn apart to assimilate their memories. What was left was sent to create Derpinn or Magenta. Only a few are getting new bodies right away. The rest need to earn it. Verinn wants his minions to have free will, maybe only a little bity bit of suggestion programmed in there, so they need to prove loyalty first to join the upper echelons of his cult.
Loyalty and independence aren't mutually exclusive. Verinn wants his new liquid machine acolytes to be completely independent and have free will. He just adds some imperceptible coding that simply makes bot consider betraying Verinn, very very subtle and just as insurance. When they're floatingnl around digitally, he can see their inner most thoughts and desires. He can tell then if he just digitized a perfectly loyal subject or if they were lying, just to gain power. Those individuals might eventually get deleted, their memories sifted though and other nasty things. Or perhaps he'll let them feel what he feels, see what he sees and slowly, without any forceful reprogramming, they'll come around to the idea that serving Verinn and becoming a liquid machine is a wonderful thing.
The idea of the minion status seems really intriguing to me, maybe i can achieve that in the bear future!
Honestly tho, that's a pretty awesome looking character and the story is really cool too! I really have to catch up on your works because it all looks out of this world!!

I can survive zombi outbrake... i can survive furry apocalypse where living suits and latex tries to look for hostages, i've seen and shoot lots of thinks but him!!! If he's joining the furry apocalypse im not even thinking to upgrade my shelter. Im just getting out of him as far as i can! Heck im not even sure if guns would for on him... meaby gasoline
