Yeah fighters are pretty awesome! I've played a dragonborn fighter before-- champion archetype--and it was super refreshing how straightforward they are, since I'm usually playing full spellcasters. My first character ever was a tiny bird summoner in Pathfinder, and in 5e it's my catguy that's a ravenqueen warlock
My DM has some home brew options for us, so I was gonna make Lucas here a thug. I think that's what it was called lol. It's fighter combined with rogue traits that looked neat to try out. I've just been using him for rp stuff in the meantime. He's been a shady guy his whole life but has received proper knightly training before. His glaive is also possessed. The more you know!
Do you play/DM/have characters? c:

That's rad! I haven't built up the guts to DM for anything yet, but I'm hoping one day I'll become confident enough in my improv to do it. It's really cool seeing people do it, and coming up with so many cool ideas. For now I just play on roll20 with friends!
Any particular characters/NPCs you're fond of then? :P

Hah, DM'ing is super fun and worth a shot! It's so weird knowing all the important bits and story but not being able to talk about it with your players, so you hope they discover it.
Oh, so many characters and locations. One of the first villains I made was this dude going undercover as a desk-clerk for a corrupt port-town Governor. Helped the players get access to the governor's vault and they disarmed all the traps and defenses. Due then waltzes in fully decked out in weapons and fights them all to get at the treasure, he escaped with 3 hit points left. It infuriated my players.
The kicker? The party never once suspected him or rolled Insight to get hints at his motives. They've been paranoid ever since! XD
