Niece Adonna sent an urgent message to her aunt in the capital requesting troops be sent to her outpost in the north, fort Shirefront. With no troops to spare, the queen sends the party of adventures to see what the problem is. The vain Adonna didn't much care for the stationed troops' regular army chain mail and tabards and had a fine set of regal uniforms made for them instead. When the uniforms arrive from the city missing all of their shinny brass buttons, Adonna is shocked and orders stationed troops to find the vandals responsible for this heist. Meanwhile an eccentric Arubu merchant arrives at the fort, offering the niece a collection of shinny brass buttons for a fair price! Thankful at the merchant Dinday's generosity during this royal catastrophe, she has the merchant paid handsomely. Constable Calibus however - is not as convinced as the princess that this merchant is all that he seems.
