Hello ^^, It's unfortunate to see this ending, but I'm glad it got to end in a good way. Overall the entire story was short and sweet, pretty well done. A bit slow on some chapters though and it felt slightly rushed near the end, might be just me :P. I liked it though and look forward to possible future writings and maybe the possibility of reusing these characters (please..) :D. I'd go more indepth but I think I described each chapter already ^^' so I'd just be repeating myself.

Heh, to be honest, before this story, my longest story was just barely pushing 13 pages on Word (roughly 8,000 - 9,000 words), so this (to me at least, heh) is not a short story, but to each his own
I feel the same way about it being rushed near the end and slow at points. I was experimenting with different writing styles the entire time that I was writing it, and with a deadline of 50k in 30 days, i described some things WAY more than I needed to so that I could get the desired length, heh. I'm glad you enjoyed the story though; if nothing more, I hope it was a nice read to pass the time. Thank you so much for reading it and commenting along the way =D It really means a lot ^^

I would love to see these characters in the future, I only feel like I'm just getting to know them better :D.

AND DONE! Finally did the "13-Nogard's-stories" fav. streak! lol Anyways I enjoyed your work a lot. Overall the story is great, with interesting events that take us to live the feelings of the characters (and to be sad when they're sad and be happy when they're happy, if you know what I mean ).
Anyways, I would like to read an epilogue or a second part of their story (like about the big deal of the blue flame, their relationship with the other Pokémon in Charizards' valley, the opportunity to revenge their parents, things like that). But I guess what's good ends quickly XD

Thanks ya ^^ I'm glad that you enjoyed the story =D As I've said many times, I loved working on this thing, and seeing and reading the comments was something that I looked forward to each day. I would like to keep these characters and write more involving them because I grew to like them a lot, heh. To be completely honest, the original sketch I had for the story called for Drek dying along the way and Seria having to continue on her own, but the more I wrote it, the more I fell in love with the two as a pair, and when the time came for that, I couldn't do it and had to alter my original story a bunch, heh. I'm glad that I did in hindsight, cause now I have two characters I can work with for future stuff

(I did a story that's one of my longest yet...though only a fifth of what you did give or take some words. Fairy Far-Tales if your curious.)

But wow, I have to say, I really enjoyed reading Family Bonds. The whole thing. The earlier chapters with Dacus and Leanna were really cute, the middle tragedy was terrible ― in that wtf no, that didn't just happen T_T way, not in the bad way ― and then nearly losing Drek as well was really rough. I'm glad that it all worked out alright in the end. At least for Seria and Drek.

I think your idea of their incestuous coupling producing a shiny Charmander was fine. I support it and think it was pretty cute, hehe. I just feel sad that those two don't really seem like parents to each other, though I guess it's fine seeing how that sort of activity isn't really tolerated in Charizard Valley anyway, haha. X3

This was definitely an excellent read and I'm glad that you pummeled that keyboard tenaciously enough to follow through and succeed in NaNoWriMo! Let's do this again next year, bud! Hopefully you haven't set the bar too high. ;)

=3 Thank you for the kind words ^^ They really do mean a lot. It's probably obvious with the way it was written, but I was trying out a lot of different writing styles throughout, and I think by the end of it, I got a comfortable style that I can call my own.

I still have to thank you for making me write it though, heh. Even if it was just an encouraging statement in passing like "Keep it up!" or something, having someone cheer me on was enough. As for this year's NaNoWriMo, I await it eagerly. =)
