i should apologize for spending FAR to much time building gundams, and not enough time drawin bewbs. ^^;;;
First Master Grade model I've built in a LOOONG time. The fact that you have to build the internal mechanics for these just speaks to my inner nerd. ...and outer nerd. :p
Really having a hard time taking photos of small figures...

yeah- i normally stick to HGs. I'm a little worried about the joints handling the extra weight. But this detail IS pretty crazy- and the transparent parts on this are gonna look GREAT! there's holo-foil that you slide into the solar panels and everything!
Which kits are you workin on? Gundam Wing?

'ey Janus! If you prefer the size of HG but like the extra detail, you oughta try a Real Grade sometime. Same 1/144 scale, but with MG detail, and sometimes moreso. Just.... stay away from the RG Sinanju. It's crap. :(
Any of the RG kits from the 00 Gundam series are fantastic, though.

I have the GP01 FB, but still haven't finished the panel lining on it. It's a hella nice kit though, and well-engineered. Never done the Aile Strike, though. I wanna get that and the Skygrasper. Maybe this weekend. The local Gunpla shop here in the Tampa area is doing their raffle day, and it's always a huge event.
Sort of a miss match of things to be honest. I always love more unique/uncommon stuff so I've got a Hygog and GM Ground Type (08th MS Team is my favorite and hope to make a full set eventually); I have a Maganac (the desert suits that support Quatre) and Tall Geese (HG) from Wing, and then a LaGowe and Mobile BuCUE from Seed (they are the quadruped desert/fox suits). Those are all on the "To-Do" list though. Currently I'm working on a MS from IronBlood Orphans that a friend gave to me (no idea what it is other than a black and purple suit with a round shield). I'm using it as an experimental piece to try weathering and battle damage on.
And of course what got me into all of this in the first place is when I picked up a Command Wolf ZOID that I happened to see when visiting Japan a year ago XD. Always loved Gundam but never really got into the models until after I got back stateside and made the ZOID. I'd like to get a bunch of the Zoids as well but I found an awesome store called Gundam Pro's locally that is all Gundam models so I've started with those for now.

The Unicorn is actually a nice one from what I've seen, but I've only ever done the Real Grade of it. From what I've seen, the HG Unicorn actually comes in either the Unicorn mode or Destroy mode (separate kits), whereas the RG can transform to do either (but the build is -insane- if you're not used to lots of tiny parts. In fact, the RG Banshee Norn has up to a Q runner..).
Trust me, it's a beautiful model. With a few notable things, though. The arm joints at the shoulders are -very- tight at first.. so when you try to articulate them, you'll want to hold them right at the point of articulation and make sure you move them from there. Also, the inner thigh area is a slight bit sloppy due to the Destroy Mode transformation where it extends a bit. It can wobble a little, but if you display it with an action base (totally recommended anyway), it's no biggie.
I love building MG's. Problem is, I've bought and built all the ones I wanted years ago, outside of some Strike Gundam variants and things that stupidly end up on Premium bandai so become ridiculously expensive and limited to both get and import for no justified reason.
I'm still pissed the MG Tallgeese III was a thing and locked up there. Even worse when it comes to 'collections' of prior-release models with a small mod to them like the strike Gundam perfect striker pack.

there are lenses for a bayonet type camera body on most of the Nikon or Yamaha, etc it is rather inexpensive and comes in a three pack, all three you could get a close up of the guy in the seats left eye! with camera memory, you can just load directly into your computer. These screw on over existing lenses on a 50mm f.8; helps with detail.
You know, find the Turn-A storyline fascinating- but i was never able to get past the first episode. Just... so many ODD decisions. I know the director was trying to be different, but... i dunno, man. >.<;
Tho, if i'm understanding the timeline properly- Turn-A and Turn-X must have teamed up to fight Devil Gundam, at the start of the Future Century era. THAT would have been a cool fight to see!
You're right tho- it DOES look like Turn-X and Sumo shoulda had their colors reversed.

Turn A -is- a very interesting and different storyline. It so.... steampunk. I'm only about halfway through the series right now..
Also.. despite the silly design, the Master Grade Turn A is an absolute delight of a model. I entered mine in a build-off over here in the Tampa area, with a sweet aerial pose with the Gundam Hammer.
