Here we have the classic 1930s Flip the Frog by Ub Iwerks' studio, and my 1990s rework from my Amiga animations, some of which are over 25 years old now.

The Story:
When I was in art college, there was a presentation/showing of old, mostly B&W animated cartoons, from Fleischer, Iwerks, and others. A fun thing about them is, being pre-Hays-prouction-code, the cartoons frequently had off-color jokes (or just straight-up offensive by modern standards). A short that caught my attention was an Iwerks Flip the Frog cartoon called "Room Runners". In part because the short was public domain and relatively obscure, I was inspired to remake it in a style more in line with shows on at the time, like "Tiny Toon Adventures", partially as an exercise to see if I could produce animation on my computer in the form of a 5-to-6 minute cartoon short (most of my previous works being a minute or less). Early on I ditched the premise of remaking the old short, but kept the character(s), producing "The Dating Game" instead, followed by two others in following years (and one uncompleted)
