Front page of Rivers Adventures with music to boot! Felt appropriate to pick one from one of my favorite fighting games. This is the debut page of River’s Adventures and will be doing hand drawn traditional comic pages with selected music and imagery to go with each scene as you read. To enjoy it fully play the music while you read to set the mood or read it without ! It is up to you. I will enjoy making these as it is therapeutic and will be fun, some of the arcs may also be inspired by roleplays I have done with others and their pokemon with some of mine. The story is going to be complex and I have most of the basic stuff written out that will be drawn and put up. Further content will be fueled with rps I do or ideas that those I trust converse with me.
Comic Rating: The comic is 18+ and if you are a Minor you are not allowed to be viewing this. Because of this any thing that is mature/adult will be marked as such and you will not be able to view the entire comic and miss crucial parts of it. Please come back when you are 18 plus, it is nothing personal.
--RP Guidelines--
While I do roleplay I have some things you need to know,
Due to many questions about me roleplaying. Please take a moment to look over this before considering it with me.
Age Limit : first of all I am an older rper and refuse to rp with anyone who is a minor. It is inappropriate and I do not feel comfortable with this at all. If you are not 18+ I will not rp with you period no if ands or buts.
Quality: I prefer to rp with people who will actually make it enjoyable for me as I know I will for them. I tend to be a semi paragraph to a multi paragraph rper that has a lot of effort and detail put into the posts. I find very little fun out of rping with people who do not put in any effort such as just one lining. IT isn’t anything personal it is because I find it difficult to engage as there is little to nothing for me to really respond to. I prefer Quality when it comes to rp and that has become harder and harder to find these days. A lot of people these days don’t even know the basic dos and donts with god modding, autoing , and proper rp etiquette in general.. I am by far no grammar nazi in any shape or form but I do prefer someone who at least attempts to do well. For example I can NOT STAND text talk and anyone who tries to use that in rp will promptly be turned down as it is ..just kindergarten level to my rp level and is 0 fun at all.
ERP/ Adult RP/Themes : While I have done adult rp i refuse to do it with 90% of rpers due to the fact they just want that and nothing else. I can’t just up and get into that it has to be developed and worked up to otherwise its just boring and more so annoying and one sided as I would not get any enjoyment out of it at all. Another thing I ask is if you ask prior to this before we even rp if I would even be okay with it and what the intentions are for the rp. There are some things I refuse to rp and want nothing to do with and are on my NOT OKAY list. I value my comfort and if that is breached I will back away fast. I will give a fair warning and be reasonable but if that continues to be breached I will take my exit. One of my pet peeves as well is that you start one and leave in the middle of it, i get that things do happen but if you can’t finish and see it through don’t start it period. Ive seen this way too often and its all kinds of level of blah. This kind of rp is NOT just something i can continue later as it requires a proper mindset for it that is not going to just magically appear like a fairy of a magic wand wave.
Rp Frequency. Reliability, Long term rper-
I am a very much long term rper and really would prefer to find others who wish to have the same.. I have had it way too often a few start an awesome story then once they get that built up part for the adult stuff they move along and throw it all away and it just is meh especially if a story is unfinished. If one does not want to rp anymore I get that but at least give the chars closure. I really would like someone whos going to be consistent and no I don’t expect you to rp 24 7 but I also don’t want to be left in the dust for 5-7 days a week or more and hardly any rp going on to develop anything..I really would like someone who can be consistent at the very least even if its only a few times a week as long as we get some decent rp time in.
RP for me is about one of the few outlets I have and it has been harder and harder to enjoy this due to ..what seems to be people with just a lack of knowledge of how to rp.. For me Its one of the few things I have to look forward to and enjoy.. And its literally painful when you get stiffed with it. To me its like a dance to weave a beautiful story and if those weaving it are off tilt we all fall down. It is why I choose my rp partners very carefully but I would like to encourage it for those who might be interested but most the ones who even ask me don’t even read the profile info..lol. That alone is a major red flag and more than likely not going to rp with you.
Characters - One of the problems I run into is people just don’t take the time to put any work or thought into their characters.. Things such as do they even make sense ? Why would this char have this but have this that makes it totally unfitting ? aka Mary sues and Jimmy Joes.. if the character is boring as crap and not fun to rp with how can you expect someone to want to ? I put a lot of work behind my characters and hey if something did seem not right i would happily explain my thinking and reasoning behind it. Why would this character even know mine ? Why do they want to know mine ? Where would they meet? How do they meet ? Are they compatible ? these are some of the things to consider when picking the character you wish to rp with.
RP characters on my end - I can rp any of my characters in the comic series however some of them may take some scheduling ahead of time so that I can get into the right mind set for them. Bartholomew and Mr. X are two of these.
RP Stuff aside I plan to have a lot of fun with this and I am going to be determined to finish it this time.. I have had a hard time finishing the comics due to lack of motivation and just feeling like no one gave a crap about it or liked but this time I am doing it for me so it wont matter in the end only that I am having fun with it and enjoying it and if others do to then thats just a bonus. I aim to get the first main story done, Turbos arc , Nearahs the Noivern’s arc, Shannah the shiny Salazzle’s arc and so on. The main pokemon will all have an arc at some point and I will eventually do more story on the Onyx Brotherhood. There will be profiles put up of each character and information about them as well as summaries of the profiles.
