Because it's fun to shoot. Things that are fast loud and dangerous, things that when mastered can be controlled to do what you want them to. Airplanes, sports cars, and guns.

Also philosophically having the tools to defend yourself from other people with similar tools who may want to do you harm.

Thats whats wrong with USA, the fucking Gun laws. as George carlin put it. " there gonna ban toy guns and keep the fucking real ones!" Its so incredibly stupid to alolow every god damn persone the right to buy a gun, dont care if its in the constitution, that world dosent exist anny more.

Well people like me would say that's what's right about the USA, well not the idiocy of banning toy guns but keeping the real ones. It's a cornerstone of american rights because it's supposed to make the government think twice before doing something rash. Americans are supposed to be unruly, independent, and pragmatic, so we have guns.

dosent work apprently. why not do what the french did, they did a bloody revolution, it failed, but there goverment in franch is shit scared of a new one so they dont uppset the pepole. And guns arnt needed to bring goverments down. if the pepole rise up they´ll grabb every tool they have, pitch forkses, scyths, showels.

The Goverment shall always fear its pepole regardless if its armed or not. Thats why they dived pepole into groups so the groups dont mingle.

It's easy to say that until the mob of people with axes and pitchforks is massacrerd with M2s, M134s, M249s, M60s, and Mark 19s mounted on various funny little vehicles.

Anyway, this argument is going nowhere because I'm pretty set in my philosophy about it and you yours so I'll be enacting my policy on such things.

Eh, they can be fun to fire at the range, or outdoors if you are in a rural area. Why do people play paintball? Why play laser tag? Those simulate killing people, and people waste a 10 bucks to a hundred bucks a go playing them.

Why not? It's a fun hobby, and still safer than many others. Some people will misuse them, but that's true of pretty much every single other thing, and for quite a few things, that can be just as dangerous.

The Mosin Nagant, it's kind of like the russian equivalent to the Springfield 1903. I'd also really love to try/own an SVD.

and protect yourself in times of need. I experienced an armed home invasion almost to years ago that I brought to an end with a
warning shot from a Derringer and the back up threat of a double-barrel, and my moms family would have gone hungry a lot when
she was growing up if it hadn’t been for meat from hunting.

How old is the auto 5? I bet that thing kicks like a mule.

I forget when it was made, sometime between the 40s and 60s I think. Design is from around 1900ish. It doesnt kick too bad, it's a blowback so recoil is a bit less than a breachloader.
