I KNOW-- and when you say Mantle..people just look at ya like your SPECIAL!! But then again if you have any color of dane besides Fawn--people do NOT believe you that your dog is a DANE! Hell I got in a fight with a Dalmation breeder that my harliquin was a dalmation....I was like SIR you must breed the ugliest dals in the states if you think this 115 pound-3 foot tall dog is a DALMATION! WTF!!??

I hear it all the time from kids, and a few adults until they are informed that mine is a Harl and not some dopey Dalmatian.

My last Blue Dane was a real mind tripper for most folks. I herd everything from "That's the biggest Lab I've ever seen!" to "That's not a dog... that's a Bull!" It just amazes me how low intelligence can go these days.
