Char design that was prompted by
fortunefox's char and an attempt to try something a little different.
Name of the char is Darius, and well, it's still a coloring in progress thing ^^;
European hornet is the species i based him on, I thought their color patternings were really interesting, and here he is. Hope you like it, and feedback is always welcomed. =)

I hear you there, I have been fiddling with some designs on that, since I thought it would be something to play with. Also, I was attempting to do something of a more suggestive piece of art, and well, the design started to fall into place.
I did put in the hexagon as a sort of tattoo that might be gotten by someone of this skin tone. =3
Got a few other insect designs i am fiddling with, but want to get through one design fully colored first ^^;

Wow, this is certainly different. I can't say I've seen many insects that seemed so... well, so conventionally seductive. That hornet has got 1 thing on his mind, I'm betting. :P (Dare I call him a "horny" hornet?)
Now that I say that, it seems oddly appropriate, actually. As a species, social hornets have many sterile females and then queens who are too busy to worry about being finding a mate all the time. If the anthro european hornet were a species, I'd totally expect the males to be culturally and/or genetically invested with the lion's share of the sex appeal and interest in sex, since the males would statistically have both more time and fewer opportunities to get a fertile mate.

Anyway, thanks for sharing such an interesting piece! =3
