In season 2, we are introduced to Mr. Shirota, a potential suitor for Retsuko. Despite being on-screen for a few minutes, he delivers a lot of important plot points that will drive the development of Retsuko. His scene beautifully presents why I love this series so much; it gives us an important lesson about love and relationship in a very mature way without any black of white mentalities to it.
