Blame Jurassic Park 3 for this, after watching it and hearing that raptors were very clever, i thought of how they might have developed if they lived alongside oligos [the people from planet Roey] and got domesticated.
I expect the raptors to be able to learn to speak an oligo language with their wide range of sounds they can make and their intellect.

Right side is a household velociraptor, small and very curious.
Bottom one is a dromaeosaurus, slightly larger and trained to help the police, seen here with Officer Gabriel the tiger shark
Top left shows Xiuh with Tzunun a microraptor.
I thought it's more fitting for a Xiatli god to have a prehistoric animal as a pet

Despite the fact they're very intelligent, they don't have facial muscles to make expressions, so they always have this kinda smug smile.
They're used as pets cause they're cute and smart.
The police ones are used cause they're light and move pretty quickly, useful in warding off predators or catching criminals.
