Taro is a type of root that is cooked many different ways. The most common way that I've seen it (in the US, anyway) is as a flavor for ice cream, smoothies, and milk tea. It's one of my favorites, and Buwaro's fur color closely resembles the way taro is dyed for food.
Kairi is a character from Kingdom Hearts, Kieri is my character from Slightly Damned. One of my friends makes that mistake all the time. :P
As for the main plot of Slightly Damned... wow! Rude! I think the main plot of Slightly Damned is the relationship between the main characters, but I know that bores people, so they tell me I don't have a story. But if you're asking for more information on what the Demons are doing in Medius, the whereabouts of Iratu and his gang, if Kieri has found her brother, why Rhea was murdered and the secret of her bloodline, all that stuff has been addressed within the last few years of the comic. So if that sounds interesting to you, get to reading! There's still a lot of relationship stuff, though, so that hasn't changed.
