I commissioned http://kirogi-dog.deviantart.com/ for this piece, and boy howdy did I find the right guy for the job or what?
Ok, this scene requires a bit of explaining. Transit's being manipulated by Dr. Eggman to gather the Chaos Emeralds. He's a little overzealous in his strategy, though; he sets fire to Green Hill Zone for not making that purple Chaos Emerald easy to find. Sonic sees the blaze from afar and comes running to see his old home being burned down by this late-teens-looking dark blue fox with three tails. After noticing that this "fiend" has a Chaos Emerald, Sonic blasts into attack speed and launches a flying kick attack. Transit sees it coming and uses the Chaos Emerald to unleash his Chaos Spark Blade technique to block Sonic's attack. Freeze the frame at the moment of impact, and you get the picture featured above.
