Thank you the welds are not the best looking but then again the 1 pound gun I'm running it's about three-quarters wore out and will not feed consistently. To have good-looking welds with aluminum you need a consistent feed on the wire feed and the one pound gun I'm using just doesn't cut it.
Yeah you're probably right, with a feeder that's working right they should be real consistent but I know it's not going to break anytime soon and that's my concern.
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my welds, and I was hoping they'd look a lot prettier than what they do, it's pride in the job well done.

We have an old Snap-on wire feed with a 1 pound gun that is worn out. I have welded with a Miller 10A feeder and an 8-foot cable hose and it worked out quite well although I think we were pushing 3/64 wire.
The problem with doing Tig is time and you heat up a whole lot of aluminum and take any heat treating out of the aluminum and actually where I had to weld and everything took me about 5 to 10 minutes to weld it up
