Stepping in from the 1987 arcade game by Sega is Bocke Lee Temjin, the Wonderboy! Equipped with the Sword of Legend he'll hunt down and slay even the mightiest dragons that stand before him (except for maybe Rift, of course). Not only drawing from the tools of Bombs and Spell Scrolls from the arcade game, he also becomes extra versatile with the transformations earned from the direct sequel, The Dragon's Trap! Each transformation comes with a unique power, but may also introduce their own hindrances, but balancing their use can be the key to victory! Lizard Man can provide defense against the environment while allowing for ranged attacks with his fireballs, or use Mouse Man to evade traps and enemy attacks!
I wanted to get this one out by today as the very game in question, Wonderboy in Monster Land, just got a release on the Switch eShop. It's one I have fond memories of playing (and not for the obvious reasons), and I'm happy to see the Wonderboy series get the revival and attention it's had in the past few years.
