The result of a week of experimentation into the art of wood rings.
The collection of woods used are
Bocote, Maple, Cherry, Pear, Walnut and Koa.
I experimented in layering, or laminating woods.
And I also experimented with gem setting, cubic zirconias, cant afford much else right now.
I have many other ideas to pursue but what I need more then anything else right now is a drill press and bench top belt sander. I might have found cheap ones that should work temporarily but anything is better then using a dremel for everything

thank you very much ^_^
I'm kinda partial to that wood myself, it's called Bocote, it's an extremely tight grained wood that is only found in southern Mexico making it pretty dammed expensive lol
this is also made of Bocote

all of these are sanded perfectly smooth and polished with a jewelers polish, I havent tried varnish though as the polish is mostly wax, I'm not sure how good varnish would stick to wax.
All of the rings that I'm making right now are about all the same size, between a 10.5 and 11.5 in US ring measurements, this is mostly due to me still figuring things out with making them, like getting an accurate size that I cant personally wear lol.
When I get things posted on my Etsy i'll be offering pre-mades and custom orders. What size would you be looking for?

the easiest way I've come across to see what ring size you are is to take a piece of string and gently wrap it around the middle knuckle on the finger you want to wear the ring on and then measure the piece of string.
you definitely don't want the ring to be very loose on you but you also want it to be able to get over that knuckle.
this is a handy conversion chart for the measurement you get,

12 so far, made 3 more the day after i took this picture. From Sepele, a wood native to your part of the world, or, somewhere in Africa anyway.
So far I've made at least 1 ring out of every type of wood I currently have except red oak and cedar. the Oak should work pretty good but cedar on the other hand is some pretty soft wood, works good for boxes but rings probably aren't going to work. Can always give it a shot though
