Oo-De-Lally!
In the Autumn of 2017, after years of sloppy second and third-rate merchandise, Disney finally released a plush doing justice to one of its more neglected characters. Topping out at a plentiful eighteen inches, this Robin Hood not only stands head and shoulders above previous renditions of the Vulpine outlaw, but gives ample room to appreciate its exquisitely rendered details. Shoes, tunic (complete with simulated leather belt) and hat are all rendered in soft velour. The face is beautifully sculpted; with bushy cheeks, pointed nose, large soulful eyes, and a smile which lovingly captures Robin’s warm and friendly character. Alas, Robin Hood is not perfect in every way. The body is quite rigid (and a little anorexic around the midsection), which does not lend itself to being posed (notable exceptions being the ears and a lush furry tail). Nor has Robin been designed to stand on his own feet unassisted; so posing for photographs or display may prove difficult. Nevertheless, this is paws down one of the best plush that Disney has released. As handsome as his Reward Poster, Robin Hood is a must for any fan of Disney’s twelfth century Fox, and for plush collectors in general.
These and other photographs of this awesome gift from my awesome bro
