This was a picture that I actually took during our trip to the San Diego Zoo Safari. This was at the new 'Walkabout Australia' exhibit (still under construction). We were able to walk where the kangaroos were hanging out. However, instead of being jumpy and active, they were all lying around under the shade of the trees. And it wasn't that hot too. At most it was around 85F (29.4C) degrees out, way cooler than the real Australia. Seeing them all like this made me think of a silly moment of active Darrell, being a kangaroo himself, not approving of their lazy attitude.
But it was still fun to see real kangaroos up close in person.

My own cat likes to sit in my lap. And if not my lap, my bed. And if not my bed, then somebody else's bed. XD And if not one of those, then the porch. Or the chair on the porch. She's got quite her pick of where to laze around. But she's also a light eater, so she's remained fairly petite her whole life.
I think fat cats are so cute. X) There's a couple of really fat orange cats that live down the street from us; real friendly and sociable. Gluttons for attention (and other stuff, obviously ). I've referred to them as "school bus cats", while my sister has remarked that one of them looks like it ate a whole other cat! XD
