I found someth---someone.

It was that...weird calling thing again. I don't know why I keep going back to that place. It's dangerous there, no Yoshi in his right mind should ever go to that place. For some reason, I feel that's more true than others think, though I don't know why I myself think that.

Yet, I keep going back, going in deeper and deeper each time. I try to avoid any of the settlements that somehow manage themselves in that place. I don't get it. It's like some longing that keeps tugging me toward it, and at times I want to surrender to it...but at the same time, I'm afraid to.

This time I found someone rather helpless, which I guess, in that place, isn't so unusual. But, then again, I suppose nothing much can hurt a thing---guy---like him. so maybe it wasn't too concerning. He's not even a threat without some kind of momentum on his side.

He was actually pretty chatty for a bullet, friendly even, though I admit most of what he said was kind of childish, as if he hadn't been out in the world before and even the sky and the dirt was fascinating to him.

I always found beings like him to be interesting...somehow alive and mechanical at the same time. Kind of strange when you first think about it huh? Guess a lot of other people don't really think on that concept when you have a bullet going straight for you.

He seemed kind of stuck and...guess I felt another project coming along in my head. before I knew it, I was working up a pulley system and...oh jeez, I can't remember how I managed to get him back home. Seriously, now that it's over and I'm back, with him resting outside, I don't know how I did it.

We talked on occasion, and his desire to be a bit more independently mobile got my gears working again on trying to fix that. So, that became my next task for awhile.

As we worked, he mused about the Yoshi village and some other chit-chat that I wasn't really skilled with contributing to....till he mentioned about some Koopa kid that, in a sense, got him out of the hole he had been literally kept in since, I guess, he was created.

Unlike everything else, the mention of some child out there, alone, tugged at me. I felt a bit compelled to return to 'that place' on my own accord, but then 'he' told me it had been years since seeing the kid....

...if that's so, I doubted they were still alive. It would take some kind of willpower for someone that young to make it... "
