One hot day, Asriel was bored, and he was looking for ways to occupy himself and beat the heat. He decided to go on a walk to Snowdin, as he heard there was an ice-cold swimming pool down there. He traveled wearing light clothing, and he had arrived in the span of a few minutes, since he was excited. So excited, he took off his shirt, tightened his swimming trunks, and just jumped into what he perceived was a swimming pool. But it was too late when he spotted a sign that warned of 'quicksnow', as next thing he knew, his feet plopped into a cake-like substance.
Because he had penetrated the snow so heavily, he quickly sank up to his chest. He tried to move himself out of the gunk, but he was stuck.
"Oh great! That sign would've been helpful. Uh, what is this gunk?! Grrr, Sans is gonna have it from me next time I see him, and I don't think Mom would be happy with him at all! Huh, let's see if this so-called 'amulet of disentanglement' will save me, then I'll believe in those stories about it. And in case it doesn't, I hope Undyne's nearby..."
Asriel kept struggling, only to make him sink faster. He realised that he was going nowhere, but down. He couldn't feel any bottom.
"Unnggh...I don't wanna die yet!! Someone help!!! Chara? Frisk? Papyrus? Help me, I'm sinking!!!!"
Ii seems Asriel got what he wanted: to escape the heat. But when because he was impulsive and he didn't take caution, he got more than what he wanted, to stay longer in the cold.
Do you think he will get out? If so, will he get himself out, or will someone rescue him? You decide.
Based this on a single frame from the quicksand scene of the 1982 movie, 'The Beastmaster'. Here's a link to the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUKTS11zo48
Whew, forgive the quality of this artwork. I made this around 3 years ago, back when I didn't now what i was doing in terms of digital art! trust me, I've been practicing lately, and I'm getting better at drawing. I might get around to making a better version sometime soon.
Undertale, Deltarune, and Asriel belong to Toby Fox. I own nothing.
