The Sigma-Security Raptor Ground Type series, for the ones who take a liking to reptilian type Techanoid frames. An all around model type which can serve as rather expensive PET security units, or have a few weapons mounted onto them to serve as quick scout military BEAST frames. Some have been known to have been used as police support in high speed chases, gaining the nickname of the V-Raptor (Velocity Raptor.)
V-Raptors are armed with two pairs of small hand claws supported with a pair of large claws on their feet. Usually static blades for civilian models, and vibro-edges for military and illegally modified civilian types. They are also armed with multiple razor sharp teeth which is primarily hidden from view to no scare civilians. Some are supplemented with additional weapons such as wrist mounted submachine guns and shoulder cannons or missiles, but the added weight slows the machine down. Fast and maneuverable, the unit can reach speeds up to 120mph on a straight-away. The main difficulty it has is managing stairs, though it usually bypasses them with powerful leaps. Another is trying to fit in elevators, due to the size of it’s tail.
Due to the difficulty of getting a linked voice box synched to it’s mouth motor functions it speaks through small speakers to humans or through shortwave wireless to other techanoids. It can open it’s mouth, but there is too much clicking when the metal meets, not to mention lots of teeth and a ‘hissing’ sound in it’s speech.
What many people don’t realize until it is too late that while V-Raptors are cheaper when compared to other units is that they do not realize that need to be in large groups of similar units, preferably from the same ‘pack’ when they were created. They operate well in groups as small as 5 units and as large as 100 units, and can silently communicate with one another via their wireless networks and are great stealth and mop-up units for military forces. A lone Raptor unit, even when with other non-Raptor units, will be secluded, depressed, or even plot to ‘discard’ the favored Techanoid living in the residence. Aside from that personal flaw, they are extremely loyal to their owners.
Some have been specifically modified as race units and take part in races similar to greyhounds.

Yep, though there is a downside. Any civilians that personally own a pack is just sending out a message to any would be thieves "Hey! I got something worth hiding!" Mostly they guard large plots of land or big buildings, but because of the trouble with elevators, that job is left to the guard dog types. V-Raptors are quite rare.
