This painting is of their adventure-loving character named Neige :) Here Neige is in awe of the beautiful tropical coasts that she is visiting for the very first time, on her quest to join a ship crew! ^^

This painting was so fun to do! Quite a bit out of my comfort zone, with the large ocean landscape and cool refreshing colors :) I love how it all came together in the end! I also really enjoyed drawing and rendering Neige's clothing and armor, and working on anatomy a bit different than the cats I usually draw!
Learned quite a bit here with painting leaves and vegetation too! And have already used those techniques on a few other works since this one :D Also was fun to work on another 21:9 aspect ratio painting! With large works like this it feels great!

A dramatic vista! The mistiness of the distance looks alright, in this intense light, but the uniformity of colour in the distant forest makes it seem a bit flat, especially compared to the variety of warm and cool greens around the foreground figure.
Also, if those are houses and a tower in the middle distance, then that ship is gigantic. Or the people are Lilliputian! And it looks like the ship's sails are full, but the ship isn't moving, which is good because I think it'd run aground if it was XD
