After a few days, the study of the samples, and of the Omega-69 itself, revealed that the compound had been contaminated by human DNA, probably from one of the researchers having a small wound and letting a bit of blood integrate with the mixture..
This contamination was the reason not only for their mutation to humanoid sapients, but also for their second growth spurt: another mutation, slower and started after, was the creation of a gland that secreted a more powerful "growth hormone". The "kaijuification" was caused by the gland ending its creation and starting to pump the new hormone in their bodies.
Samples of the hormone, dubbed "Aleph-69", didn't deliver much in terms of analysis, done in parallel to the research on the normal Omega-69 (the contaminated stock was locked safely).
Although Blutch managed, through these researches, to invent an special "pulse" that would prevent the four titans' bodies from consuming the "Aleph-69".
After using the pulse on them, the Neo-Asclepius researchers were relieved to see them start to slowly shrink, eventually returning to human-sized.
They then had completed educating them (but still couldn't make them speak) and, with the help of the Camo squadron, now affected to "the Kaiju case", tried to have them accepted among humans.
The powers that be, being paranoid, were not in favor of it, but after the kaijus' exploits, they had the people's favor with them, so the powers that be grudgingly accepted, at the condition they would wear constantly special collars that emitted permanently the pulse.
The four weren't very happy about it, but Offick and Blutch convinced them to accept, promising they'd do their best to convince the powers that be to change their mind.
It had been two months then. Two months since Chet, Horace, Zeke and Frank were living a "normal" life.
Fully seeing the world for real was a bit of a shock at first, but thanks to their education and with the help of the citizens of Boise, Baton Rouge, Las Vegas and Miami, all too happy to help their newfound heroes and mascots, they got used to this life, and actually enjoyed it (after all, it was pretty hard to go to movies or in museums when you were bigger than the building).
But they really missed being gigantic, really wanted to live it large again, even just for some moments.
And with Blutch and Offick not really giving news on the progress on their promise, they were starting to fear it was an empty promise...

Hey there man! Sorry it's been so long since my last review, but you know how life is! Still, I'm here now, back, and ready to review the next chapter of Kaiju Rising: 'Brought down to normal'! So, having taken long enough to get here already, let's not hang around any longer and dive right in!
So, we begin with more plot, which is always a lovely thing! What's more, is that we finally have a reason as to how this 'Omega-69' could cause such... dramatic effects! Contamination with human DNA - it appears someone messed up, and with that simple mistake, there were unimaginably huge consequences! (As well as success beyond anyone's wildest dreams, sometimes there is little difference between the two!) Imagine, this mutation lead to the formation of both a new gland and a new hormone, both of which combined allowed... all of this... it's incredible! Everything about this is a scientific marvel! That hybridization of human genetic material with animals of not only different species, but different biological classes entirely! The creation of a new gland and hormone! The very matter of this 'Kaijufication' itself! It seems to fly in the face of everything known to science, but... well, it's impossible to deny the reality before you! It's still not entirely explained, however - despite investigation of the newly dubbed Aleph-69, nothing of note has been discovered, an oddity, given its incredible ability! Although, not all the research has been fruitless! Through the development of a special 'pulse', Aleph-69's effects could be nullified, and even reversed! Exactly what this 'pulse' is, isn't specified so I can't remark on the details, but nevertheless, it's incredibly impressive - it managed to shrink all four Kaiju from their colossal sizes down to human-like sizes! A truly incredible feat indeed!
Of course, with the Kaiju being intelligent, sapient beings, it would be cruel to simply keep them locked up constantly. Fortunately, their heroic actions have served to endear them to humanity quite well indeed! Thus, integration has been surprisingly easy, with a full two months having gone by already! However, while they've been enjoying those two months... being so big has its appeal! They just have to hope that Offick's promises can come true... for now, at least! But, that's for the next chapter!
This was a very interesting chapter, it has to be said. It gave a close look into how the world would reasonably react to this discovery, and it all came across as very reasonable and realistic, from immediate research into the phenomena, to secure storage of the contaminated stocks, it all serves to make the world feel so much more 'real', it's very well done. You're particularly good at creating believable worlds, even with such unrealistic premises, ha ha! It's also absolutely fascinating to see these Kaiju shrunken back to a size closer to that of humans, and then going out and living amongst them too! It's incredible to see!
There are a few things I feel that could be improved, but these are mainly grammatical in nature! Honestly, in regards to whether or not it feels as though there is anything 'missing', as in something that 'needs' more attention, or anything along those lines? The only thing that you could maybe add that would be of any major impact would be about what it's like for the Kaiju to live amongst humans. What was their initial reaction? Where people worried that their collars might fail at first? From the artwork for this chapter, it's clear that the sight of them in a crowded area raises no eyebrows, but was that the case at first? You mention the Kaijus' thoughts on their situation, but how was it like for them to discover the human world? So many interesting questions! There's nothing else I can suggest though, nothing of great significance at least. Otherwise, you've done a great job on this one, so take pride in that!
Grammar wise, there are a fair few things that I think could be altered to improve the flow. For starters, for the line 'probably one of a reseacher having a small wound and letting a bit of blood integrate the mix.', I think it reads more smoothly as 'probably from one of the researchers having a small wound and letting a bit of blood integrate with the mixture.' For the second line, I would replace 'of' with 'for' in both situations. On that third line, I think you mean 'research' rather than 'researches'? Then, lastly, on the line 'now affected to "the Kaiju case"', do you mean 'connected', rather than 'affected'?
I think that's everything so far! Again, I'm very sorry for how delayed this was. Life got in the way, but at least there were some positive reasons this time too! Heh, anyway, like I said, this was a brilliant chapter, and I hope you're proud of it, because you should be! Take care of yourself my good man, stay safe out there!

Hey there!
Ha ha, I don't blame you man, it was a lot longer than I intended it to be, but c'est la vie, right? It's no problem at all man, really, you're very welcome! I've read it over, and I have to say, great work! It reads smoothly, and it all presents a tangible feeling that the people they've helped have really positive relations with them, a real sense of... community? Hmm, that's the closest way to describing it I can come to for now at least!
That's good to know, thanks man.
Again, it is absolutely no problem. I'll be taking a break from reviewing your works for now, but when I get back I'll be moving on to a new series I think! So you've got that to look forward to, ha ha! Thanks man, I'll stay vigilant!
