Well I think it makes the place look devoid of life, as if the colours have all been drained out, and the character is upset about a loss or something. No, really, it's very nice this way.

I like your style as well, it's very cute and cool.

Actually, I like how it turned out with just the character colored. Makes it look like a ruined husk of a workd. So empty it ain't even colored :B

The power of a picture can come just as much from what you put into it as from what you don't put into it. In this case, I think the lack of color in the ruins suits the picture perfectly. It looks like a movie poster. :D
