Another surprise gift, this time from 
.
As the sun rises out in Cookie Gulch, Sheriff Marshall went outside for his patrolling duties. He picked fellow diaper deputy D.B. The Kid as his patrol partner. Before he went outside, he instructed the other diaper deputies to look after things while he and D.B. are out patrolling.
He put Amber in charge in looking after Xerry and made sure he went to his daily jobs of community service as well as attending school. He put Gottlieb in charge in patrolling the town. And he put Davey, Scout, and Fireball in charge of giving Nobath McGaff his morning bath and diaper change, no matter how Nobath whines and complains about it.
Since there are no major roads between Cookie Gulch and the other towns, Old Town Road is nothing but desert and sand for miles around. To get around from one city to another, you could either go by stage coach, by train, (the only train service, the Munk n' Skunk Express run by engineers Tavi and Ozzie, travel from town to town like clockwork),or by horse. Since the babyfurs are too small for the large adult horses, they travel on trained baby foals that are big enough to run and ride.
Sheriff Marshall's trusty baby foal who was named Spunky was playful and very fast on his four legs. D.B.'s foal was named Spirit who was equally fast and playful as Spunky. As the two rode out on the hot burning sand, Marshall and D.B. searched around the desert looking for wanted criminals and other dangers. When they got towards the next town, which was Iron Paw Creek, the two headed back towards Cookie Gulch, still on the lookout for outlaws.
Once they arrived back, Marshall and D.B. took Spunky and Spirit back into the stable and fed them their favorite food, apples and oats. When Sheriff Marshall returned into his office, the deputies completed their missions. Amber has taken Xerry to school, Gottlieb arrested two mangy coyotes for starting a barroom brawl at Frostbite's Saloon, and Nobath is nice and clean and in a fresh diaper (even though Nobath's not happy about it, he secretly enjoying the dry crinkly feeling of his new diaper).
