I had a bit more free time and privacy than usual this weekend so I tried to to apply some of the techniques I've been learning to a more ambitious pic. I couldn't think of any better subject than  winter_madness 's coob-sona Trish. Although the drawing is heavily referenced, it was still a good learning experience in terms of pencil shading. It is also IMO a pretty significant improvement on an attempt to draw fanart of his characters I tried a few months ago (that I didn't post). While I'm not completely satisfied that I couldn't create this piece without a lot of referencing and note-checking, I can at least appreciate my slow-yet-traceable progress.
