Not only is this my first ring made from red oak.
It is also another experimentation with setting stones in wood.
Unlike my previous settings this one isnt sitting proud, it is sitting almost perfectly flush with the curvature. As such there wouldn't have been any light to shine on the sides of the stone so I cut small channels on either side to help with lighting.
The stone is a cubic zirconia. Cheap? Yes. Affordable? Absolutely!
