Knight’s Black Diamonds

I know three things right now. One I love Kandar. Two Kandar wants me in someway. Lastly we can’t live without each other. I’m a 29 year old Ni`ge, a black panther hybrid that can walk and talk like a human but is like a black panther in all other ways. I’m head huntress and the daughter of the tribe’s shaman. Let’s the story beginning.
“Hey Nick” I yelled as I ran up to the place he calls school “What’s up?”
“Nothing much can’t wait to meet you family, Navid” he answered
We meet each other after he finished his day a school at our normal place, the outskirts of the human town. I lead him towards the forest. This is the first time Nick will be meet and learning that my father and I are Ni`ge. The only way I could meet nick is under a spell that makes me look human. As a human I look like a fifteen year old girl with long black hair with high lights of silver. I stood about 5' 5 with a very lean body.
“Navid, why are we head to the forest?” he ask as we got closer to it.
“ I live in the with the Ni`ge. Is that a problem?” I retorted.
“ No, as long as you are not one of them” he smugly said,” they are filth o to this city”
Right there and then did my heart fal. Not only that the spell wore out and I was a Ni`ge again.
“ YOU’RE ONE OF THEM AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME” he yelled as he ran away from me.
“I’m sorry..... I love you......come back” I said in a small quite voice.
“NEVER YOU SICKEN ME”he screamed
The anger was building in him as he turned tried to attack me. Out of no where my best friend Kandar comes out a stops Nick in his tracks. That is not hard with the way kandar looks, over 6' 10 , pure muscles, and one angry leopard.
Moving like he was in a hunt, he hissed “You are crazy for breaking her heart and you are going to pay if you ever come near this forest again”
Nick ran fast as his legs would carry him. Then Kandar turn and pick me up and cradled me while I cried.
“ You ok Adara (my sweet)?”he asked
“ He..... He’s gone...I loved him....why?” I asked though my sobs.
“Akara (my love), he could not see though the fur to see the wonderful, loving, caring person you are,” he comforted me “now don’t cry a might huntress like you does not care what a human says”
I looked up and saw how beautiful Kandar was. I just had to smile at his eye that where like black diamonds.
“What are you smile at silly?” he chuckled
“You and you black diamonds” I answered
“What black diamonds?” he asked like he did not know already/
“Your eyes, Kandar.”
He bent down to help me up but instead kissed me. My mind was racing at this touch. My heart was about to explode. After what seem like hours he pulled away. I felt like the world was spinning around me as the kiss ended.
“I’m sorry that was out of place, Navid” he said guiltily, “I did mean for that to happen I just was trying to help that just made it worst most likely, didn’t it?”
“Kandar no it help I can get past Nick whether you kissed me or not but that did make me feel better” I told him, most was true but the fact that I could get over Nick without the kiss.
“Here let me take you to my father, he should be able to see if you are hurt or not” he said as he look way from me which hunt me more then Nick leaving.
“We can’t your people would kill ME” I yelled as a reaction to his idea.
“Not if I’m with you, I’m the next chief” he bragged
he picked me up and started running to Ne`vok, the Gi`ju main city. There his father was a shaman like my father. They are still on good terms compared to the rest of the people in the two tribes. For the last ten years Ni`ge and Gi`ju have been on the edge of war because of my little bother. My bother killed a elder of the Gi`ju tribe while playing with the other kits. He was only two but they had to kill due to the laws of our people.
We enter the city and the chief came out of the hut of leaders. He asked what a Ni`ge was doing in his city.
“She was being attacked by human, she would have died Chief Bi`gi. I had to save her.” Kandar explain to the chief
“Take her quickly to your father before she is attacked. I don’t need war right now because one of our warriors killed the next chief of the Ni`ge.” he told us
“WHAT? ” Kandar and I said in unison
“Yes it was announced about a hour ago, hurry now.”
Kandar ran to his father’s hut near the center of the city with me still in his arms. As we came closer the more the Gi`ju looked Kandar and me. When we got to his father’s hut he put me down. I turn around to glare at him. Kandar just burst out laughing.
“What? Kandar that was not funny I can fight you know remember who beat the other one in the fight after the apprenticeship. I did, so I could have taken care of my self and you and your chief know that.” I told him with my voice high from being pissed at Kandar .
We turned to each other and pounced. We roughed house until we heard a cough. We spring up and saw Ja`be, Kandar’s father. We both turned and sat up to look at Ja`be.
“Now you two are past this age. How can I help the beautiful Navid today?” he asked
“Can you check to see if she is hurt? Please father.” Kandar asked
“Yes Navid you know the protocol.”
I went in to the spare room where I took of my human cloths that were four sizes to small. Like all Ni`ge women I stood about 6' 11 and was nothing but muscles from top to bottom. I was taller then Kandar but he was the faster one, but I was the best between to the two of us in all other ways, though.
I came out and Kandar looked at me in a new way then what I was used to, he look at me like my mother did at my father before she died. “Ok I’m ready”
“Son I hope you did do any thing stupid to get her hurt” Ja`be told his son
“No father just help her out of a bad situation.” Kandar said with some back sass.
“Ja`be the area by my heart is hurting and it not the normal pain I feel.” I told Kandar’s father as my heart felt like a pit fire right before dinner.
“Here let me look.” he said, “ you have a mating mark my dear. Kandar has she been kissed in to the hour or so?”
“Yes I kissed her after the Human Nick was gone. Father he left her and tried to kill her.”
“While I have the mating mark you have to protect me. Also if you and don’t mate in three months we both become infertile until one of us dies or killed. If we do mate and become life mates when one of dies the other dies. That is what a mate mark is.” I explain to Kandar.
“What...Why....I ... We... We can’t our tribes... father this can’t happen ” Kandar exclaimed
“Akara think this might bring our tribes together. Also there would be peace and no one would died.” I told him
“She right you know. The gods choose you two as mates and as chiefs for a reason and that is the reason.” Ja`be explained
He checked me over to make sure that I was not hurt. The whole time Kandar was look at me with pure hungry in his eyes. That make me blush big time. I could not stop giggling at Kandar as he looked at me.
“Ok son take her to her tribe before they look for her” Ja`be order Kandar
Kandar helped me out and then he and I ran though the back streets of Ne`vok. As we ran I thought back to our childhood when we ran though the back streets to get out of trouble. The further we got from the city the more we laughed and giggled.
“Us mated Yeah right We’re best friends.” I said as we laughed.
“Yeah I know but can I check to make sure though” Kandar asked.
“Sure a double check would not hunt any one.” I answered.
As he check he asked why I haven’t gotten my warrior name yet.
“They think since I don’t have a mate yet I should not have my warrior name.” I answered then notice that he has not gotten his yet, “why have you not yours?”
“My tribe believes I need mate first.” he said, “you have the mating mark and I checked to see if I have and I do.”
“Great my tribe is going to kill me now. Cruse my little bother.” I spat
“I know how you feel they are going to kill me, too” he told me
We headed to Jabo` Ni`ge’s main city. While we were jumping from tree to tree we talked about what would happen to us if we mated or not. As we got closer to the city the more I felt the other Ni`ge warriors come closer. Then out of now where Hi`ba, second in command, attacked Kandar but I got in the way before he could get to Kandar. Hi`ba just throw me in to a tree and continued towards Kandar.
“STOP! HE IS UNDER MY PROTECTION HI`BA!” I screamed before passing out.
“Get her to Kha`ga and him to the chief “ commanded Hi`ga. Those were the last words I heard.
