I drew a lot of inspiration from a number of sources such as Alan Cumming's character Saturninus from the movie Titus, Erich von Stroheim appearance in the silent movie Foolish Wives, Carole Lombard, Grand Duchesses Olga, Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia etc.
Though I must confess drawing the Aiguillette was a nightmare.
