This was a second attempt at the character where I wanted to nail down the look for the ants within the story.

While humanoid in appearance I still wanted to include the subtle elements that Fire Ants have.
In the story, members of the Royal Family among Ant Monarchs have golden eyes, which was meant to show their authority.
