The tale of the Loup-Garou, (also referred to as the rougarou), is a common legend across Louisiana. These Cajun werewolf legends speak of a creature with the body of a man, and the head of a wolf, that prowls the swamps. Its' curse lasts 101 days and can be transferred from person to person when the Loup-Garou draws another human’s blood.

It's an odd feeling to see something like this, after listening to enough dogman encounter stories to know that most likely, those beings are really there and one might be living in a forest next to any of us. I'm sure most find that thought scary... like some folks in the fandom, I find it comforting. Also very amazing work on the image!
I love dogmen encounter interviews. So interesting! It does seem like they could legitimately be out there. It's the same as knowing other dangerous predators exist- like bears. They're beautiful and I'd love to see one , but I'd also probably have a heart attack if I actually ran into one in person. Thanks! Glad you like it!
I live in the US, but not Louisiana. I'm just a big fan of cryptozoology and like to read about encounters. It's pretty interesting that there are similar creatures, walking on 2 legs with a wolf or dog-like head, being seen all across the US and even in other countries too.
I'm sure the general population is in the dark about a lot of things, but I also think many people wouldn't believe even if they were told outright that these things are real. Also, they seem to be intelligent and probably know enough to avoid mass human detection as much as possible.
