For a moment Art Vulpine watched the young dog girl, hoping for a time when he could speak to her. Suddenly, her nose detected the kitsune's unfamiliar scent and immediately sprung into action by summoning a green energy shield and a cube made of energy.

"S...stay back, or I'll fight you!" she said poised to attack.

"Woah!" Art said quickly moving back and putting his hands up, "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you, ok? I'm lost and I need your help."

The Hush Basset looked at him for a moment before her cube and shield vanished as she relaxed.

"Sorry. You startled me that's all. I'm Milla!"

"Milla, huh? I'm Art. Nice to..." his words suddenly stopped as he groaned in pain.

"Oh no!' Milla exclaimed as she rushed over to steady the kitsune. "You're hurt! Those monsters must have done a number on you. I'll take you to my friends. We'll help you out."
