I must say this is quite an impressive fan-art! The detailed expressions he has put into the final rendering really show the affections/passionate love that Blue-scale has for Rangi. Great work and I can see where this will fit well into the story.

This sort of gift is so much better than any toy or gadget anyone could ever buy, because it is so personal. it really does fit in well to that section.

Y'know, I did always wonder how kissing between two species with incompatible mouths would work out. I expected some kind of creative way around the problem, but "Screw the lips, just take mah damn tongue, bitch!" works too. :3

Really sweet lookin'. Both in terms of the artistic technique and the actual content. You can really feel the tenderness in the pic and it really touches the ol' heart in ways that would probably deeply confuse our grandmothers.

I think our respective grandmothers would probably be foaming at the mouth and calling for the nearest priest at the thought of this sort of stuff It is a tender moment, if a little raunchy in terms of intent

Interspecies relationships would be fraught with little biological 'gotchas' like the whole no lips thing making kissing very difficult. Which is why pics of dog or cat-like creatures making out are cute, they are biologically not right. Vanguard don't kiss as such not having lips, but they use their tongues to great effect, tasting each other in a very sloppy, slobbering kind of way

Thank you for the comment Yeah, I think the artist was rather taken with these two characters... although they were only ever supposed to be 'bit parters' in my second novel, they kinda ended up stealing the show in the end. Took on a bit of a life of their own.
