Was in the store to get a few things I don't usually look in the cereal isle anymore but I saw these boxes of cereal.
Didn't know they change the mascot. Mind you it's for the better of course.
You have Chip the Wolf nicely eating the cookie crisp. All dressed up for a day at the lab - with "Build Chip's Rocket Rider Invention" on back!
Or you have Chip the Wolf is all magical sprinkling and naked probably after a ride on the just built Rocket Rider Invention. Because breakfast is better eating with a sparkling naked wolf just ask anyone at a fur con the day after. Also note that sparkling wolves weigh less than clothed that's why you get less per ounce for the same buck.
Hard choice indeed in cereal aisle

In US this is the fourth mascot I can remember for the cereal. The first was a wizard because it's magical to have cereal taste like a snack that survived longer than the Brady Bunch.
Second was Cookie Crook which lasted till late 90s he was all about stealing the cereal. Great way to start a morning :)
During the 20 year reign he gained a dog - because you know if you can't steal you must gain a side kick that does better than you - Chip The Dog
Eventually they kicked out Chip the Dog took off his robber mask and made him the mascot. Still sounding the same just without the mask...
So now they went Chip The Wolf

From watching the commercials I decided 2 things
One it didn't work for Trix - it's going to be annoying to Chip The Wolf. You can't just steal the cereal from kids just go to the grocery store (like you did in the one commercial) and get it there. Hey if coyotes can go to Quizno i'm sure you can go to the store too!
Two Voices are annoying would of work better if spoke in Sign Language.
Though in some countries Cookie Crisp a panther, who's light grey in color and wears Chip's clothing because I think he got beaten up to going to the studio I'm sure someone thought they might not seen a canine in their area of the world.

It was funny to see a comment to the second commercial:
"I've been reading some of these comments, and I noticed 3 or 4 of them saying that 'Chip The Wolf is hot'. Am I hallucinating, or are there really some virgins who's desperate enough to have sexual fantasies about an animated wolf? Oh well, not my problem."

They've had chip the "wolf" for a couple years now. Loved the switch. Way sexxier than that dog. I ate this all the time on family vacations not as cereal but as a snack. BTW, the best cookie crisp (wolf or not) is the DOUBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIE CRISP. My god...it's amazing. It's like hershey's syrup chocolate milk with cookies in it after it's sat for just a few minutes.
