Two important beings from Azrimarian lore.

The Universe didn't always exist. In the emptiness were two realms. The Void... and the Ether.

They collided, causing the big bang, and everything began. At this moment, these two were born. Erebos - of Void and Darkness, connected to the realm he came from. And Protos, of Light, connected to the realm he came from.

Immediately, Erebos took off and started to chase Protos through the forming universe, aggressive and fearsome. Over time, however, Erebos calmed down. He and Protos together saw that life was forming, and that it was a beautiful and delicate gem. They then realized that the Void was eating away at the Universe... and the Ether was burning it. So, they created two barriers - Shadowrealm and the Aether, and these realms helped form a buffer to allow Midworld to form safely.

Now, they dance endlessly through the universe now, helping it remain balanced.

Erebos is generally very quiet and observant. He does speak; and when he does, his voice is a low powerful rumble, unnatural and unsettling, felt as much as heard. It will make you feel light headed.

Protos is wild and generally very quiet. He becomes restless, and never stays in one place for too long. When he does speak, his tones are clear and beautiful, but unnatural and make your head feel hot.


Small lore splap - All Voidborn have an Etherborn counterpart. The two beings are linked to eachother. They are always drawn to eachother, and if one dies, so does the other.
