I don't hate the Wee Sing series, I just don't think they really educated me on anything.
I saw a comment on a video of "Magical Mr. Mistofolees." Some dude said he sang that as an audition piece for some kindergarten school musical while everyone else supposedly chose nursery rhymes, and I thought, "gee, I sure wish my upbringing was sophisticated like that." That was like seven or eight years ago. Anyway, that's what inspired this story.
