Just because you're muscular doesn't always mean you're strong. I imagine it would be extremely hard to move around with such bulging muscles, not to mention that you wouldn't be able to find any clothes that fit you, nor would you be able to fit through a DOOR. Not to mention that your individual muscles' bulk would probably get in the way of the muscles surrounding them, and you might find it really hard to just lift your arm.
Ah, thank you~ Icon is by
monkeycat, all praise should go to her.
Add me? I'm kind of surprised. I'm afraid I don't do much in the way of males or muscle art, but if you like my art anyway, then i see no reason to stop you O.o

Oh hunny, I may fave mostly muscle art but i do love other artist as well. Do you happen to know
cubi or
ivybeth ? Their both really great artist and Cubi is just the sweetest thing ever. A wonderful artist who doesn't do muscle at all but does very realistically proportioned characters. You should watch her if you havent already. Actually your art reminds me of hers, Of what pics ive seen in your gallery you both have this round sweetness to your art. And yes, i would definitely love to watch you.

Oh yeah, that's all very valid and i would actually be slightly put off by someone that Muscular in real life. id fear for my life if they suddenly tipped over and i was on the...Ahem...landing zone. In all honesty for all its faults its all about the fun of drawing something that big and impressive. Just as their are people who find it disgusting or unrealistic you have to figure in the people who find it appealing and interesting. Sure you cant possible achieve this kind of mass in RL, thats why its so much fun to draw. And really i do this type of art because i find it fun and interesting and my friend who i did it for is really grateful that I did. But regardless of how unrealistic it is to draw someone that physically impossible, its also impossible to have humanoid animals walking around talking and acting casually as if its normal. But we do it anyway.
Oh that's fine, I think its nice when people just talk and you really sound to me like someone who has a clear idea of what you like or dont like. Its alot better then someone just blindly faving everything they come across and not having an opinion of their own. And why start a war? I think we both agree thats something we both dislike about the fandom, people who just randomly start arguments and pull others into it.
I totally agree, Especially here in the fandom where some people are into scat and Gore. Some of the stuff these other guys come up with just...strikes a not so pleasant chord with me. But as long as they dont bother me i wount bother them. And its alright to make off the cuff remarks, sometimes you find good friends that way.
See Weightlifters vs Bodybuilders. The guys you see hefting 18-whellers tethered to their waists are more round and defined and you probably wouldn't call them buff. It's the how both professions develop the body. But yeah, it's pretty much all about the fantasy; I happen to just be a shameless size-queen, and the oeople who luv this stuff can let the "real strength" issue slide cuz, well...it's kinda ingrained in your subconciuos that muscle size is indicative of strength. Superman, Hercules and Hulk aren't exatcly pear-shaped, ya know? Not at all realistic, but it's...I don't wanna say "classical" but fantastical, almost heroic. And that's the point, I guess. Least for me. Sure, this guy's torso would probably snap off at the waist like a top-heavy lolipop with pocky for a stick if he was hit by a stiff wind, but I'd be there to patch him up and stay by his side at the IV.
Oh, and Trapezius, Lattismus Dorsi, Triceps, Biceps, Deltoids, Gluteus and some smaller areas of the lower back, forearms and legs I can't recall the exact names of. They all exist, they're just never inflated or defined this much.

I'm just going to leave this study WIP here.

Surely you must realize the sheer silliness in having a body SO massive it is physically impossible to obtain?

To each his/her own but that back is theoretically obtainable:

I happen to like big muscles. I am a bodybuilder, that is my thing. I look at your "Muscle" art and think it looks like a person who has never lifted a weight in his life. Just what I like and what you happen to like.

Well, just remember. Next time someone doesn't precisely agree with your perception of "perfectly acceptable body tone", you need to remember that you are the person obsessed with a body image that (quite frankly) looks like a mass of tumors, and perhaps your perception of "never lifted a weight in their life" is completely skewed out of control.
