Wait!" shouted Trixie, thumping Sheri on the back. "We forgot the Sriracha sauce!" Sheri nodded twisting the yoke and jamming on the front breaks of the motorcycle. The rear slid out, tire squealing against the linoleum titling. Mall goers yelped in surprise, leaping aside. The jackal gunned the throttle, rocketing them back along the way they had come. Sheri saw the brace of security guards rounding the corner, stun batons out and ready.
"Hang on!" she shouted to Trixie. The little goat clung to her partner with surprising strength, laughing maniacally as she reached down with a free hand and pulled out a war ax, pointing it menacingly at the rent-a-cops. They scattered like roaches, shouting angrily into their comlinks as the bike roared past. Sheri wove expertly through the confused mass of pedestrians, using her boots as well as the bike to clear people out of the way when necessary. Sheri saw the food court up ahead and pointed out the booth where they had originally bought burritos for the team. Sheri nodded and as they flew by Trixie leaned over, one hand griping the jackal's shoulder while the other scooped up one of the bright orange squeeze bottles from the counter. The young kid behind the counter stared at the girls with wide eyes.
"Thanks!" Trixie shouted behind her as they roared by in a blur, headed towards the escalator and the exit. --Slipstream looked up from his workbench as the two of them rolled up into the garage. The wolf glanced at his comlink in some surprise.
"There is no way you made it to the mall and back in just eighteen minutes." Sheri said nothing but grinned like a fiend handing Slipstream a burrito while Trixie shrugged her shoulders with an elaborately casual look on her face.
"We found a short cut."
