Outside of curses, vengeful deities and accidental mystical happenings, there is the occasion of just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That's what happened here to our son of Poseidon and son of Jupiter. The pair weren't even on a quest, they were just casually roaming about through the forests on the outskirts of New Rome. And during their leisure stroll, a few sprites of unknown origin happened upon them. The little things decided to have some fun with the two demigods, resulting in some clothes-tearing, fur-growing, tail-sprouting changes.
