These are most of the souvenirs I got while studying abroad in China during summer. I waited till now to post this since a third of these items became Christmas gifts. LOL. ^\/^.
The fan came from the Imperial City. It has a picture of the Nine Dragon Wall. To come think of it, I bought it at the souvenir store nearest to the Nine Dragon Wall. I didn't need a fan, but was going to get one anyways since I was in China. Never did get the reed hat. LOL. ^\/^.
The little plaque in the red box came from the Great Wall. It has my name and the date scratched into the back with a key and it cost me about $3 in American money. LOL. ^\/^.
The toys came from the aquarium in the business district of Shanghai not far from the Shanghai Financial Center (really tall building). ^\/^.
The rest I purchased at the Silk Market in Beijing. It had a nice food court, but each time I went there I ate at the McDonalds across the street (a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a Big n Tasty for about $5, yes please!). LOL. ^\/^.
My favorite is the Digivice for the reason that those things are so very hard to find in America or on E-Bay unused. LOL.
The Digimon for my Digivice is Chirinmon who can digivolve to Sleipmon. Happy Days. LOL. ^\/^.

Even so, this one had a nice price tag on it. In the conversion rates at the time during the summer, the price for the beauty of a Digivice you see above came to about $1.19. And that was the expensive part of Shanghai. I suppose the lack of tariffs helped on that one. LOL. ^\/^.
A tariff is when one country adds a tax to imports from another country. That is why Japanese cars are more expensive than the American ones whereas, if you buy them in Japan, are cheaper than American cars. In short, a tariff adds to the price from products from another country. LOL. ^\/^.
