Nakita's Din-Din Time
Myself feeding Nakita, an eastern cougar, her dinner. She was always very eager to grab it! Taken while I worked at Grandfather Mountain in NC.

I remember we raised some big cats along with ostriches and emus several years ago. We had a mountain lion named Toby that had some dysfunctional motor functions and was cross eyed, so being without teeth or claws, he was the funnest big cat to play with ever as a kid. He did that same thing when we fed him, except we didnt cage him that confined, like we did the other, more tear-your-face-off types. I especially loved coming out at night and tripping the flood light then seeing pair by pair of dilated big cat eyes stare at me hungrily in the night, it was fun fun. Fun times.
